Applying for Leave - is done electronically by simply entering the dates and type of leave required. Supervisors can approve their leave application, as well as viewing their leave details and history, online.

Authorisers - Those authorising leave can optionally receive notification of submitted leave requests by email. They can view, make alterations and/or approve/decline submitted leave applications. At a glance they can see all employees Leave History, Leave Balances, Pending Leave Applications; Authorised; Awaiting Authorisation and relevant Statutory Holidays to assist their decision.

Planning Leave - The Authoriser can view leave applications on a graphical Leave Planner where they can easily see leave applications, employees working at the same time, etc to help make decisions on staffing levels.

Compliance - Compliance is achieved by the system making the appropriate checks at the appropriate time. For example leave applications are checked to ensure sufficient leave balances exist as they are entered.

Notification Manager - Automatic email generation can be used to ensure everyone performs their tasks in a timely manner. For example, an Authoriser can be advised that leave has been submitted for approval, escalation can occur if an application is not approved within an acceptable timeframe and employees can be notified of rejected leave.

Security - Users are required to logon using their user ID, surname and a password to gain access. Security dictates which data and options they have access to. SSL Encryption is used to ensure data being transmitted across the Internet cannot be intercepted or read by any one other than the intended user.
